Help us celebrate Valentines Day early!

Next Soul Center event is February 12th. It's been FOREVER so can't wait to see you (even more than usual)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disappointed..... but not for long:)

The exciting project that I was working on in December and January (and since August 2011) was a more permanent "space" for Soul Center. It seemed that I had found the perfect spot. However, just when it looked like everything was FINALLY official, the owner of the building made some disappointing choices. These choices led us to walk away from the deal. So, as frustrating as the experience was....I'm ready to start looking again in hopes that we will find just the right space for Soul Center:)

Until then, St. Andrew's United Methodist Church continues their generosity in allowing us to use their space for our events:) Thank You St. Andrew's!

About Us

Soul Center is a non-profit organization where people of all abilities (with and without disabilities) can share their time and talents.

Conceived and founded by Karen Morgan-Kennard, a former special education teacher, the Soul Center provides social and community service opportunities to people age 14 and older. She envisioned an organization where young people with and without disabilities could come together to learn from each other, gain life skills, share good times and give back to their community. Soul Center began in July 2004 and has steadily gained momentum building strong friendships and partnerships in the community. Time, talent and monetary contributions are the lifeblood of this organization which enriches the lives of so many young people.

Currently, events are held one Sunday a month from 3-6pm. Interactive social activities, pizza (or another meal) and a community service project are normally the focus. Approximately 30 people attend each event.
