Soul Center this Sunday and another event on the calendar with YOUNG KIM at Harmoni Salon!!!!!!

Be there this Sunday to decorate Easter eggs! I will bring MANY hard boiled eggs and materials to decorate with. This is serious business.....there will be prizes. You are welcome to bring your own egg ideas and additional supplies that you may deem necessary to create your masterpiece. Also be prepared for an Easter egg hunt!

EXCITING NEWS:
Young Kim has invited Soul Center members back to his salon AGAIN:). This will be the 6th time he has hosted this generous event. The date is May 24th, starting at 11a.m. See previous blog posts for pictures of past events at his salon! For several years, Young has created an atmosphere for Soul Center members to feel like royalty.....it's awesome! Please send RSVP to my email address. More details to follow:).

About Us

Soul Center is a non-profit organization where people of all abilities (with and without disabilities) can share their time and talents.

Conceived and founded by Karen Morgan-Kennard, a former special education teacher, the Soul Center provides social and community service opportunities to people age 14 and older. She envisioned an organization where young people with and without disabilities could come together to learn from each other, gain life skills, share good times and give back to their community. Soul Center began in July 2004 and has steadily gained momentum building strong friendships and partnerships in the community. Time, talent and monetary contributions are the lifeblood of this organization which enriches the lives of so many young people.

Currently, events are held one Sunday a month from 3-6pm. Interactive social activities, pizza (or another meal) and a community service project are normally the focus. Approximately 30 people attend each event.
